We always need foster homes for some of our rescued animals who are in need of ‘that little bit extra’.
We may have a litter of kittens that have lost their mum and need bottle feeding and constant care; they always thrive better when they are with one sole foster-carer that is devoted to all their little needs.
We may have a dog in for rehoming who needs to learn how to live in a proper home, how to ride in a car, go for a walk on the beach or even be taught how to walk on a lead.
It may be a pregnant mum-to-be who needs a quiet, isolated spot just to have her litter and wean them in.
It may be an animal that has a home waiting and just needs a couple of weeks to stay before they leave.
There are numerous ways that foster-carers can help – please speak to us if you think you can help.
Please remember if you are considering becoming a foster-carer that you will need to devote a lot of time and effort – you will also need patience. Our first priority is to the care of the animals. We will need certain information to assess the suitability of anyone wanting to foster.
We will train you if you need it and are here to support and advise you throughout.
