A new company within Doha has contacted us regarding collecting data on Qatar's pets. Please take a few moments to complete this survey.

For various reasons, several members of the QAWS committee resigned recently. We would like to thank them for their support and assistance and know they will continue to help the animals of Qatar.
Rest assured the shelter will continue to operate but please be patient as the reduced personnel may result in some changes to the opening times and shelter policies.
We will endeavour to keep you all informed of any changes and hope we can rely on your support to help us keep the animals the priority during this difficult time. Please contact if you are interested in helping out at all.
Your continued support is, as always, greatly appreciated.

Event: Volunteer Meeting
Date: Tuesday, September 16th
Time: 7:00 pm
Location: Silver Cafe
As we noticed a lot of our volunteers are back from their holiday and a lot of Emails came to us from people who would like to become a volunteer at the shelter, we decided that it would be nice to have a Volunteers-evening so we can all introduce ourselves to the new volunteers and say hi again to the volunteers who came back to Doha...
We will have a Volunteers-evening on Tuesday the 16th of September at 7pm at "the Silver Cafe", near Al Sadd football stadium..... So if you would like to join us please let me know and you are always welcome to bring a friend along.....
We will show you our dvd and have a chat about what we do and what you could mean for our dogs/cats... We are in need of Volunteers for both:
People who love to walk a dog....brush them.....give them a bath.....and most important make them feel loved again.....
People who would love to help us out with our cats.....as they need some love as much as the dogs do....
So if you are not a dog-person but a cat-person....we really would appreciate it if you could come down and socialize our cats..... Hope to see you all on Tuesday!
PS : Directions to 'The Silver Cafe":
Coming from the Corniche...
Go onto Al Waab street (this is the road towards Villaggio)... Towards Villaggio
When you get to Al Bustan intersection make a U-turn…
Pass the Petrolstation (MOBIL)
Take the first street right (sliproad)
At the first roundabout go straight and you will see "the Silver Cafe" on your left side…
If you can't find it… Give us a call at 5396074.
If you would like any more information about this event, please do not hesitate to contact us.

At the moment we are running at 'over capacity' meaning that we are completely full! We are not able to take in more dogs, as we have over 11 adult dogs and 18 puppies! Some of the puppies are sharing their kennels, but this will not last for much longer when they will need to have more space.
Please, we are in dire need of anyone who is able to help us out by fostering a dog over the summer holidays. If you can, please contact us at 5396074.
Also now that the holidays are approaching, we are in need of volunteers again.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Please be advised that puppies will only be fostered or adopted out if the main caretaker is available at home full time (meaning that the puppy will not be left alone for over 4hr stretches at a time). This is important to their socialization and upbringing.
